Welcome to 2014! And welcome to a new semester of the Loaded Ladle! We’ll be serving our first meal of the semester tomorrow. We’ll still be serving at the same space in the SUB on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and will still be doing at serving on the Sexton Campus on Wednesdays, but there will be a few changes to our servings and cooking.
Here are the deets on the upcoming changes:
New serving and cooking time!
As of tomorrow, the Ladle will start serving at 1 p.m., instead of 11:30 a.m.Accordingly, we’ll start cooking at 9 a.m., instead of 7:30 a.m.
New (old) cooking space!
We’re moving our prep and cooking back to our space on the 2nd floor. So, you’ll be able to find us cooking there on our serving days, rather than on the first floor. If you haven’t been to this space before, you can find it by walking up the main stairs, taking a right, and going in the door on the left before the McKinnes room. It’s the door with the Loaded Ladle sign and the masking tape heart on it!
New Monday night work parties!
As of next Monday (Jan 13th), we’ll be holding weekly work parties in our space on the 2nd floor! They’ll be every Monday from 5 to 9 find more information. They’ll be a space where we can do Loaded Ladle food prep for the week, as well as other non-food related Ladle projects (button making, zine writing, anti-capitalist strategizing, etc). Equally importantly, it’ll be a space to hang out and chat and get to know each other!
Hope to see you this semester! Cheers from the Ladle!
