We are happy and grateful to accept donations of all sorts: food, monetary, kitchen equipment, skills and labour, utensils, zines, and more!
We currently receive donations of delicious and beautiful sprouts from Greens of Haligonia. We sometimes take unwanted produce from the DSU Food Bank and work it into our meals. We also work closely with the Dalhousie Farmers’ Market Collective, who sell produce in the Dal SUB on Wednesdays from 10am – 3pm.
We also do pickups from The Parker Street Food Bank when they are overwhelmed with large amounts of perishables. In April 2015 we were able to help salvage almost 100lbs of strawberries to cook that day and freeze for the future!
We are always looking for handy kitchen supplies and cutlery, such as spoons and forks. If you have a job with produce to spare, a garden with WAY too much kale, or just happen to have a box of unused potatoes laying around, get in touch with us!
