Join Radish Reads, a book club hosted by the Loaded Ladle! We will meet once per month during the academic year for great discussion around books, essays, articles, and zines about food justice and food movements.
January: Migrant Justice, Food Justice. We will be reading excerpts from Food First: Selected Writings from 40 Years of Movement Building
February: Culture and Identity: The Personal Importance of Food
March: Veganism, Femininity, Masculinity. With selections from the vegan studies project
Meetings take place on the last Thursday of each month from 4-6pm in the Loaded Ladle office (room B24 in the basement of the Dal SUB).
In order to best organize materials, refreshments, and space, we are asking people to register for Radish Reads. Registration is free. You can register for 1, 2, or all sessions, it’s up to you! Once you are registered, you will be notified when materials can be picked up. We will be capping participation at 15 people.
